Evidenced-Based Coping Cat Program Program for Anxious Youth
- Is your child scared to meet new people or make new friends? Does he worry about upsetting someone?
- Does she put too much pressure on herself to do better at school, work, or sports?
- Does he ask question after question for reassurance?
- Does she have trouble sleeping or eating at times because she’s so worried?
- Does he refuse to go to school or do work because he’s so nervous about making mistakes?
If so, then enroll him or her in this group to learn and practice skills to become free of the fear that is holding him or her back. Left untreated, anxiety in children can cause problems in school, at home, and with peers, as well as continue into adulthood.
Ages 7-10: Mondays 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Ages 10-13: Mondays 6:30 – 7:30 pm
Next Session will begin in Spring 2019 (date to be determined)
This is a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) group for children and adolescents with anxiety. We will be using the Coping Cat program, which has been proven effective through research to significantly reduce anxiety in children ages 7-13. Participants will gain and practice tools to use to manage their anxiety, and then gradually face their fears in a structured way that will allow them to be successful!
The full cost of group is $450 per child (or $225 per month), and that includes eight weekly 60-minute group sessions, two 30-minute parent sessions, weekly parent education emails, weekly action plans for your child to practice skills at home, and an individual portfolio of work completed.

Groups are kept small (4-6 members) so that each child gets individual attention and group members feel comfortable sharing.
