Sports Anxiety Skills Group (Ages 12-18)

A skills group for young athletes ages 12-18 struggling with anxiety related to their sport

Is your child struggling with anxiety before a game? Does your child lack confidence on the court? Do you as a parent sit on the sidelines watching your child not play to their full potential due to anxiety?

The Sports Anxiety Skills Group can help your child better understand their anxiety and learn new coping skills for optimizing both their performance and their confidence.

This group will focus on…

  • Education around what anxiety is & what it looks like
  • Building coping skills for managing high stress situations
  • Growing confidence for inner strength and direction
  • Mindfulness skills for staying present and “in the zone”

This group is led by Elizabeth Ernest, a Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW) and a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT). She provides services for children of all ages with anxiety, behavior concerns, family dynamics, and trauma.  Elizabeth is a former college athlete who enjoys working with athletes.
