“Change your thoughts and you’ll change your world.”
Norman Vincent Peal

Coming from a background in community mental health, Brigette has experience working with a diverse population and serving diverse needs. She believes everyone has a story to tell and it deserves to be heard. She uses a person centered approach along with CBT to help clients navigate their stressors and accept themselves for who they are.

Brigette received her Masters in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University. She completed her clinical internship at The Center for Mindfulness & CBT under the supervision of Dr. Jeremy Shuman. She has received extensive training in Exposure and Response Prevention (E/RP) and Inference-based Cognitive Behavior Therapy (I-CBT) for OCD. She has also been trained by Dr. Laura Chackes in the evidence-based treatment for Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (BFRBs) like skin picking and hair pulling.

Brigette loves working with individuals 13+ struggling with OCD, anxiety, panic, relationship concerns, and life transitions. Brigette wants people to know that it is normal to struggle with things in life, and accepting help from those who are willing to listen is a sign of strength. Brigette is supervised by Dr. Laura Chackes, Psy.D., MO license # 2006027463. Dr. Chackes oversees all of Brigette’s clients, and can be reached at Lchackes@mindfulstl.com.
