Master of Science, Bachelor of Arts, and completion of a Transformative Coaching program (72 hours)
Kathleen is pursuing her Master of Social Work degree at The University of Missouri – St. Louis in the Family Practice concentration. She has a Master of Science in Wetland Science from the University of Florida and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Spanish from St. Louis University. She completed a 72-hour transformative coaching course and since 2014 has been creating spaces for self-realization and self-compassion in group courses and individual coaching. She is currently on the journey to become a certified Nonviolent Communication trainer. She is a lifelong learner and has landed in her passion of helping people grow into self-knowledge with self-love to create what they really want and connect to their life purpose. She was born in Venezuela and lived there for 10 years. She has spent time in other parts of Latin America, Spain and India, volunteering, attending yoga classes and meditation retreats. She is a hobby naturalist and an elder caregiver. Her varied background allows her to connect to people of different origins, cultures and abilities. Kathleen is passionate about understanding how our life experiences during our young development impact our beliefs, nervous systems and relationships today. She supports clients (ages 8+) to move beyond the past and discover their own abilities, values, desires and wonder in the world. She honors the client as the expert in their lives and supports them to tap into their own deeper knowing with warmth and expert listening. She offers alternative perspectives and encourages exploration of boundaries, needs and habits to take a look at where the client wants to be heading in their lives, with support and accountability. She also helps clients shine a light on how they can be authentic in their relationships with others and on what they want to experience. She is learning how to support clients with trauma-focused CBT, somatic experiencing, Internal Family Systems, and ecotherapy. As a graduate intern, Kathleen is able to offer therapy sessions for a reduced rate.
