Noelle (pronouns: they/them/their) is a Counselor in Training working under the supervision of Paige Lynch, MA, LPC. They received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing from Truman State University in 2011, and a Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri-St. Louis in 2019. They provide therapy to adolescents and adults in individual and group settings.
Noelle’s goal is to provide clients with a supportive environment to explore concerns and challenges, develop goals, discover strengths, and overcome obstacles. Noelle believes strongly in the power of the therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for change; therefore, they place great value on working from a place of compassion, authenticity, and most importantly collaboration, to ensure the client feels empowered to heal and grow in a way that is right for them.
Prior to joining The Center for Mindfulness & CBT, Noelle worked as a Crisis Counselor for Crisis Text Line; as an intern at the Counseling and Social Advocacy Center at UMSL; and as an intern at St. Louis Behavioral Medicine Institute’s Intensive Outpatient Program for OCD and Anxiety-Related Disorders. There, they completed specialized training in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is a powerful, evidence-based treatment for anxiety, depression, and more. In their role at SLBMI Noelle helped individuals identify distorted thoughts and maladaptive behaviors, and worked with them to establish new patterns of thought and behavior that were more helpful and based more closely on the client’s beliefs, values, and goals.
Noelle incorporates a variety of theories and techniques in practice, including CBT, ACT, Mindfulness, and Narrative Therapy. In addition to specializing in OCD, anxiety, and depression, Noelle also treats clients struggling with chronic pain conditions. They are LGBTQIAA+ positive, body positive, and knowledgeable and friendly toward alternative relationship types and lifestyles, such as kink and polyamory.
Noelle is taking new clients and may offer sliding scale fees on a case-by-case basis. To make an appointment, please contact our Client Care Coordinator, Andrea Harpster, at 314-561-9757 ext. 718 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
