MSW, LMSW
Sydnee obtained a Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Missouri- St. Louis. Sydnee enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young adults and she specializes in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD, and other trauma-related disorders. Sydnee believes that life can be an exceptionally difficult journey at times and that seeking out a therapist to address these difficulties is a sign of resilience and strength. Sydnee utilizes this strength-based approach in working with clients, as they are the experts of their situation and should guide their goals for treatment. She would like to work alongside you to help identify strategies and techniques for promoting emotional regulation, mindfulness, and self-empowerment. Sydnee works diligently to create a safe therapeutic space for individuals of all genders, races, religions, and sexual orientations. Therapy does not look the same for all people. Sydnee recognizes this and utilizes interventions from within Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Prevention, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Psychotherapy, and Mindfulness to tailor specific interventions to best serve each client she works with. Sydnee’s therapeutic experience began as a practicum student at Come Play, STL where she learned key facets of both Play Therapy and Theraplay. Sydnee believes that therapy should be a welcoming, judgment-free environment where clients feel supported and she looks forward to working with you!
