“The only place to begin is where I am, and whether by desire or disaster, I am here. My being here is not dependent on my recognition of the fact. I am here anyway. But it might help if I could learn to look around.”
Pádraig Ó Tuama, In the Shelter: Finding a Home in the World

Tyler works with all ages and specializes in working with adolescents and young adults. Before becoming a therapist, Tyler worked with college students as a resident hall director for 10 years. During that time, Tyler worked with individuals facing a number of challenges including acute mental health crises, anxiety and depression, emotional and sexual abuse, and general life challenges. It wasn’t all hardship though – there were many moments of recreation, humor, and joyful adventure! Tyler values creativity, authenticity, and humor in working with people.
Tyler is a Licensed Master Social Worker under the supervision of Jenny Hoffman. He graduated from Ball State University with a Masters in Social Work. He utilizes an eclectic approach utilizing tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Somatic Experiencing, and Feedback Informed Treatment working to adapt to each person’s unique strengths and personality. Tyler works from the belief that the foundation of good therapy exists within a warm, authentic, and supportive relationship with clients.
