BFA, M.Ed. (in progress)
Gwynneth has completed the core coursework necessary for a Master of Education degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Missouri – St. Louis and is in the process of satisfying the internship requirement for graduation. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Acting from Mason Gross School of the Arts (Rutgers University). A lifelong interest in human emotion and behavior combined with a passion for creating a safe space for the full expression of one’s truth has carried her over to the counseling profession.
With extensive experience in entering into the subjective reality of others and searching for underlying motivation and meaning, Gwynneth is committed to facilitating clients’ improvement of their relationships to their internal experiences (thoughts, emotions, self-concept), thus improving the quality of their interpersonal relationships as well. She is trained in person-centered therapy and incorporates ACT and experiential techniques tailored to each client’s individual needs.
Before joining The Center for Mindfulness & CBT, Gwynneth provided counseling services to neurodiverse clientele at UMSL’s Counseling and Social Advocacy Center. Her attention to systems of power and oppression drive her to affirm, support, and facilitate exploration of clients’ intersecting identities, building skills and self-trust for navigating stressors both internal and external.
As an intern, Gwynneth is able to offer services at a discounted rate of $65 for an initial session and $55 for follow-up sessions. Gwynneth is supervised by Andy Conrad, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor MO #2020009302 who can be reached at andy@mindfulstl.com and will be overseeing care for all of Gwynneth’s clients.
