Liz is a Counselor in Training at The Center for Mindfulness & CBT. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Sociology at Maryville University in May 2021, and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling at Maryville University in August 2024. Liz uses a humanistic and solution-focused approach through a strength-based perspective, person-centered, and cognitive behavioral therapy to promote self-discovery and encourage her clients to achieve their full potential. She also believes in promoting a meaningful lifestyle through mindfulness and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Liz specializes in treating adolescents, teenagers, and adults with anxiety, depression, BFRBs (Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors) and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
Liz has a strong passion for counseling. She is determined to provide an unbiased, inclusive, fair, honest, and empathetic environment to her clients. She believes it is her responsibility to advocate for mental health, provide resources, and teach skills to her clients in order to become their best selves. Liz is supervised by Andrew Jovanovic, Licensed Professional Counselor MO #2016040637, who can be reached at andrewj@mindfulstl.org and will be overseeing care for all of Liz’s clients.
