Dr. Brené Brown

Mikayla is an intern at the Center for Mindfulness and CBT. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Truman State University in 2019 and is currently pursuing her Masters of Social Work at University of Missouri – St. Louis. She specializes in treating adults and adolescents with anxiety, OCD, and trauma through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness.

Prior to pursuing her MSW, Mikayla worked with adolescents and underserved populations in the educational setting. She has a strong passion for helping adults and teens on their journey of self-discovery and exploration. Mikayla commits herself to the therapeutic relationship and the needs of her clients utilizing a client-centered approach along with other evidence-based practices.

As an intern, Mikayla is able to offer services at a discounted rate of $55/session. Mikayla is supervised by Sarah Saffold, MSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker MO #2022035657 who can be reached at sarahs@mindfulstl.com and will be overseeing care for all of Mikayla’s clients.
