MSW (in progress)
Rashida Dinehart is a Master of Social Work (MSW) student at Saint Louis University completing her concentration practicum.
Before beginning her journey in social work, Rashida spent over a decade in marketing and communications, where she developed a deep appreciation for the power of connection, empathy, and storytelling. Inspired by her own experiences with grief and loss, Rashida is passionate about creating spaces where individuals feel seen, heard, and supported during life’s most difficult transitions.
Rashida completed her foundation practicum at Annie’s Hope, The Center for Grieving Kids, where she continues to volunteer as a grief group facilitator. She is also the founder of Griefology, an educational platform dedicated to normalizing conversations around grief and providing resources for those navigating loss. Through these efforts, Rashida has deepened her commitment to companioning individuals through grief with compassion, authenticity, and respect for each person’s unique healing journey.
As a practicum student, Rashida approaches her work with a strong foundation in empathy, openness, and a willingness to learn and grow alongside her clients. She is dedicated to fostering a safe, affirming environment where clients can explore their experiences at their own pace.
Her areas of interest include grief, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and supporting individuals navigating complex or layered losses. Rashida works with teens and adults.
As an intern, Rashida is able to offer services at a discounted rate of $55/session. Rashida is supervised by Sarah Saffold, MSW, Licensed Clinical Social Worker MO #2022035657 who can be reached at sarahs@mindfulstl.com and will be overseeing care for all of Rashida’s clients.
