Do you struggle with…
This four-week yoga series provides a beginner’s foundation for understanding individual asanas while fostering compassionate self-awareness and mindfulness in both physical practice and daily life. Through guided discussions on asanas and their connection to meditation, participants will explore how yoga enhances both mental and physical well-being. Emphasis will be placed on mindful alignment and balance in Hatha yoga postures, encouraging participants to approach their practice with kindness and curiosity.
Classes are designed for individuals who are new to yoga and can sit, lie on the ground, and remain on their backs without additional assistance. Homework assignments will support the continuation of practice at home, integrating yoga and meditation into daily routines to promote emotional resilience, stress management, and a stronger connection between body and mind.
The challenges of tension, burnout, and low self esteem will be addressed with gentle encouragement and clear instruction while fostering a supportive, non-judgmental environment. Providing modifications for poses and emphasizing progress over perfection will also help participants feel more comfortable.
This series is led by Andrew Jovanovic, MA, LPC, CYT. Andrew is a certified yoga teacher with over 20 years of personal yoga practice and more than 14 years of teaching experience. He has taught Beginner Yoga, All Levels Hatha and Vinyasa Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Yoga Workshops. His approach blends the holistic, spiritual aspects of yoga with evidence-based therapeutic practices from psychology, creating a balance between Eastern and Western perspectives to foster well-being and mindfulness in his students.
The cost is $125 for all four classes, which includes an online video to follow once the course is over.
