Guided Meditation and Calming Ambient Noise

Hi all, my name is Jeanne Kloeckner, I’m the newest member of the team at the Center for Mindfulness and CBT, and will be teaching the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) class later this month.

My recommendation is the free Insight Timer app, which offers a virtual buffet of thousands of guided meditations, as well as the ability to set a timer for silent meditation or one with calming ambient noise. The app also includes talks and podcasts and fosters a sense of community by telling you how many other people were meditating “with you.” The app is available for iOS and Android.
