“We already have everything we need… All the time our warmth and brilliance are right here. This is who we really are. We are one blink of an eye away from being fully awake.”
Pema Chödrön

Becca is an intern at the Center for Mindfulness and CBT and is currently a Clinical Master’s of Social Work student at Saint Louis University. Becca received a Master’s in Theological Studies from the University of Dayton in 2012 and completed her undergraduate work at Emporia State University in 2008. She works with adults, teens, and children on anxiety and depression, OCD, family conflict, grief and loss, and trauma.

Prior to pursuing a career in social work, Becca has been holding space for children, adolescents, and adults in various capacities for over ten years at nonprofits and educational institutions here and abroad. She holds a strong passion for addressing the emotional and spiritual needs of individuals experiencing grief after loss.

Becca brings a client-centered and collaborative approach to her work and thrives on paying attention to the details that matter for each individually tailored plan of care. She firmly believes the most meaningful therapeutic alliances involve honesty, a sense of humor, and a shared dedication to the work. She is committed to empowering her clients to recognize and embody their strengths, practice mindfulness and self-compassion, and learn new ways to heal, grow, and flourish.

As an intern, Becca is able to offer services at a discounted rate of $55/session. Becca is supervised by Elizabeth Ernest, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist MO #2022005185, Licensed Clinical Social Worker MO #2023038640, who can be reached at elizabeth@mindfulstl.com and will be overseeing all of Becca’s clients.
