You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than you can in a year of conversation.
Elizabeth is (soon to be) a Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW) and a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT). Elizabeth received her dual master’s in social work and couple and family therapy from the University of Louisville. During her time at the University of Louisville, Elizabeth worked with foster children, couples, and early childhood ages. She also has been involved with research on Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for over two years. Elizbeth received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Southern Indiana. Elizabeth works with young children and youth struggling with anxiety-related disorders, PTSD, and other trauma disorders, behavior issues, and adjustment issues. Elizabeth also works with couples, families, and co-parenting dynamics. She believes that clients can be the vehicle for their own change but sometimes need extra support. Elizabeth uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness strategies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Bowen family therapy techniques. Because Elizabeth is provisionally licensed she is not able to take insurance; however, she does offer a lower rate for her services.
