LMSW, PLMFT
Elizabeth is a Licensed Masters Social Work (LMSW) and a Provisionally Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (PLMFT), working under the supervision of Megan Garza, LMFT. Elizabeth received her dual master’s in social work and couple and family therapy from the University of Louisville. During her time at the University of Louisville, Elizabeth worked with foster children, couples, and early childhood ages. She also has been involved with research on Trauma- Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for over two years. Elizabeth received her bachelor’s degree in psychology at the University of Southern Indiana. Elizabeth works with young children and youth struggling with anxiety-related disorders, OCD, behavior issues, adjustment issues, PTSD, and other trauma disorders. Elizabeth also works with couples, families, and co-parenting dynamics. Elizabeth’s goal when working with families and couples is to build healthier communication skills. Elizabeth is also interested in working with athletes of all ages To manage anxiety, increase mindfulness skills, and build self-esteem in relation to their sport. She believes that clients can be the vehicle for their own change but sometimes need extra support. Elizabeth uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness strategies, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and Bowen family therapy techniques. Because Elizabeth is provisionally licensed, she is not able to take insurance; however, she does offer a lower rate for her services.
