Dr. Georgia Bomgardner is the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at The Center for Mindfulness and CBT, a Licensed Psychologist, as well as a Nationally Certified School Psychologist. She obtained her Ph.D. in School Psychology and her Masters of Education in Human Development from Lehigh University (Bethlehem, PA) and her Bachelor of the Arts in Psychology from Hendrix College (Conway, AR). She is also a Clinical Supervisor supporting interns and provisionally licensed clinicians. Georgia strives for empathy, honest communication, cultural humility, and respect in order to build collaborative relationships. In all areas of practice, she relies on evidence-based practices and an individualized approach through a trauma-informed lens, incorporating behavioral strategies that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other behaviorally oriented techniques.

Prior to joining The Center for Mindfulness & CBT, Georgia worked in a variety of roles, serving as a school-based consultant supporting the development of social-emotional and mental health resources, clinician, adjunct professor, and director within a mindfulness-based non-profit. She is dedicated to community engagement and creating equitable access to mental health services and believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to receive high quality care.  She specializes in treating children, adolescents, and young adults with ADHD, Autism, and other behavioral disorders; Anxiety; Depression; trauma; and supporting parents/caregivers in navigating the challenges related to parenting, education, and beyond. She is available to provide consultation and training to schools and families in order to improve educational outcomes and processes.
