Taylor is passionate about helping individuals feel empowered by providing an atmosphere where they can authentically be themselves, without judgment. She believes that therapy is a collaborative experience where clients walk alongside their counselor in their therapeutic journey. She believes in using evidence-based practices to help individuals work through their struggles so that they can have an increased sense of well-being. Taylor’s training is primarily psychodynamic based which focuses on looking into the past and noticing recurring patterns. However, she takes an eclectic approach to therapy to individualize the client’s treatment, pulling from several theoretical orientations such as psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, person centered, and dialectical behavioral therapy. Taylor works with adults and teens.

Taylor is LGBTQIA+ friendly, culturally inclusive, and has worked with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, grief, trauma symptoms, anger management, and navigating transitions in their lives. Taylor has recently started the certification at Postpartum Support International to become certified in Perinatal Mental Health.

Taylor is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s In Clinical Mental Health in June 2021 from Northwestern University. Taylor is supervised by Andrew Jovanovic, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor MO #2016040637, who can be reached at andrewj@mindfulstl.org and will be overseeing care for all of Taylor’s clients.
