Structured, evidence-based support for teens and adults who need more than weekly therapy

The Center for Mindfulness & CBT now offers a specialized IOP designed for individuals who need focused, intensive care without stepping away from daily life. With age-specific programming and a multidisciplinary team, we provide treatment that is both personalized and research-based.
Flexible Attendance Options
- Sessions can be conducted in person at our Creve Coeur office or online through a HIPAA-compliant virtual platform for clients located anywhere in Missouri. Hybrid mix of both in-person and online is common.
- Treatment is scheduled for 2 hours per day, 5 days per week, totaling 10 hours of care each week.
- We offer flexible scheduling to minimize disruption to school, work, and daily life.
- Average length of treatment is 2-3 months, with sessions tapering down to 2-3 days per week towards the end of treatment.
Individualized Treatment
- Your individualized treatment plan will be created and regularly updated by your primary therapist.
- Your primary therapist will meet with you for at least one hour of individual therapy per week.
- Most IOP interventions are provided 1:1, with a therapist coming in and out to teach skills and then giving you time to practice independently.
- You can expect to be with a therapist about half of the time during these individual IOP sessions.
Collaborative Clinical Team
- Treatment interventions are taught and practiced with our team of clinical interns and provisionally licensed therapists, all of whom work closely with your primary therapist to support your progress.
- We collaborate with referring treatment providers and aim to help you return to your regular outpatient therapist as soon as clinically appropriate.
Group and Family Support
- You will spend 1–3 hours per week participating in age-specific group therapy, providing additional support, connection, and accountability.
- Your family and support systems will be engaged in your treatment to help support your goals and ensure a smooth transition out of IOP.
Evidence-Based Treatment Approaches
- We use a wide range of evidence-based treatments, including:
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
- Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT)
- Mindfulness-based approaches
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills
Insurance and Billing
- We are in-network with Cigna, Medicare, and United Healthcare/UMR.
- We may be able to arrange a single case agreement or in-network exception with certain Anthem BCBS plans.
- You may also self-pay at $250 per day.
