What we resist, persists. What we can be with, transforms.
Dr. Christopher Germer
Kate is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor (PLPC) who holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and a bachelor’s degree in health science from the University of Missouri. She works with children, adolescents, and adults, supporting clients across a variety of developmental stages and life experiences.

Grounded in a person-centered approach, Kate tailors her work to meet each client’s unique needs. She integrates evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients better understand and navigate their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. She also incorporates a range of therapeutic techniques, including play therapy interventions, mindfulness practices, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to support healing and build resilience.

Kate is committed to creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and understood. She believes that meaningful healing and personal growth begin with curiosity, self-awareness, and self-compassion, and she works alongside clients to foster these qualities as they move toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Kate accepts most Cigna and Aetna insurance plans, or offers a low self-pay rate of $120 per session after the initial evaluation billed at $135.

She is supervised by Josh Dunn, LPC #2019024985, who can be reached at josh@mindfulstl.com, and will be overseeing care for all of Kate’s clients.
