Nicholas is a graduate student in both the SIUE Clinical Psychology and MBA in Healthcare Administration programs. He has extensive experience serving as a volunteer crisis counselor for both Crisis Text Line and the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, where he has supported individuals experiencing suicidal ideation and behaviors by helping them ground themselves, develop coping strategies, and create safety plans.

In addition to his clinical experience, Nicholas has completed coursework focused on evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). He has also received additional training through The Center for Mindfulness & CBT to further strengthen these competencies.

Nicholas approaches his work with compassion and empathy, integrating CBT-based techniques and related therapeutic approaches with principles of humanistic therapy and positive psychology. His clinical interests include promoting resilience, increasing engagement in meaningful and rewarding behaviors, and helping clients build tolerance towards difficult emotions. With a strong interest in dimensional and holistic approaches to treatment, Nicholas aspires to create meaningful and lasting positive change during his time as a practicum student at The Center for Mindfulness & CBT.

As an intern, Nicholas is able to offer services at a discounted rate of $55/session. Nicholas is supervised by Josh Dunn, MA, Licensed Professional Counselor MO #2019024985 who can be reached at josh@mindfulstl.com and will be overseeing care for all of Nicholas’s clients.
