I wonder what would happen if you recharged your body as often as you recharge your phone? In a world flooded with technology and instant gratification, its not surprising to know we, as a culture, are often over stimulated and under-rested.
The pressure to binge watch this, scroll through that, post this, like that reply to this…it can be exhausting and time consuming. All this pressure and over stimulation can lead to tension, anxiety, depression, and sleep issues. Imagine what might happen if you took five minutes out of your day to recharge instead of scroll through your social media feed.
Odds are you might feel relaxed, less tense, refreshed, and energized. The app Insight Timer is one of my favorite apps. It offers thousands of free guided meditations, varying in length, topic, and even teacher. Or if you prefer a solo journey, the app holds the space with ambient music ranging from singing bowls, chanting, nature sounds, and even drumming.
Challenge yourself to stop and recharge, your body, family, and friends might thank you.
